Recently the kind folks over at America Adopts invited me to compose a guest blog for their site. Super, super cool! I’m touched by the invite to offer another voice and perspective on adoption, particularly older child adoption. Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I “know” a celebrity!! This was well written, as always, and a great summary of your and Hope’s story. I don’t know if I could have been as concise as you!

I found your blog through your article on America Adopts. Thank you for sharing your experiences – I ‘m a hopeful adoptive dad, and while my background and experiences with adoption so far are quite different, I really appreciate your perspective and look forward to checking out your blog!

As a birth mom I so appreciate your recognition and validation of Hope’s life before you entered it and your willingness to share it with her, despite any fears you may have. I expect that this will serve to strengthen your bond together as well as encourage her to embrace all that she is. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the encouragement. I just want Hope to have everything she is entitled to. It’s not always easy, but I know we are better for it. Thanks for reading!

Our families may have some very obvious differences, but your story is our story in so many ways. Great post, thanks so much for sharing!
