It Finally Happened

Hope wrecked my car. Single car accident, triggered by her panicking about the behavior of another driver at a gas station.

Honestly, it was just a matter of time. I rode with her on Friday to run some errands, and while she is not what I would call a bad driver, I did point out a few areas where I suggested to demonstrate a bit more care. But alas…

I’m home waiting for her to arrive since despite minor hysterics, she insisted that I didn’t need to take an Uber to her location.

When I answered the phone, she was in freakout mode and couldn’t really talk. I basically had to say, I don’t care about what happened, are you ok? Is the car driveable? Is the other driver gone? Is anyone there to help you? Do you want me to come?

Yes.

I think so.

Yes.

I dunno.

No.

Ok well, put a little gas in the car and come home. We’ll call the insurance and figure things out.

Seriously, it was just a matter of time.

Here’s what I do know, she might end up buying my banged up Nissan from me. That car has been good to me, but I can’t live like this.

Woooooosa.

Oh noooo! So scary…I understand that feeling of something “finally” happening. Sigh. Thank goodness she’s ok and can drive the car home. Sending strength!

Thankfully she’s not hurt and the car is drivable. It must have been hard not to go to her, though.

At least she has her first accident out of the way now. 🙂

If you happen to be looking for another Nissan, I just bought a 2021 Nissan platinum Rogue. After I got done scaring myself for a month about having spent that much money, I’m totally in love with it.

If you’re looking for an electric car, my son just bought a Nissan Leaf. He’s completely in love with it. It has every accessory known to man. And a few I hadn’t even thought of.

I would consider buying another Rouge. It’s been a really good car. The accident I had a few years ago took a super hard hit and while I was injured, it wasn’t as bad as I could have been!

I really want to go back to my Mini Copper, tho! I loved that car so much.

I get it really I do, even when you know it will happen it is still scary. I too am relieved she is all right. After my first accident, my parents were smart and made me start driving again right away so my anxiety would not prevent me from getting behind the wheel again.
